Perform and document simple as well as complex automated and/or manual procedures and assays on blood and marrow products intended for infusion into patients for reconstitution or augumentation of the hematopoietic and/or immune systems. Perform and document quality control and release testing on cell products, reagents and supplies. Recognize, monitor and evaluate technical, instrumental or physical conditions or problems. Perform and document routine maintenance of equipment. Order, qualify and prepare reagents and supplies required for cell processing procedures. Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies and clinical research protocols. Frequent interaction with multi-disciplinary team and external vendors. Rotate on-call responsibility for monitoring equipment alarms and for cell processing procedures on weekends and holidays.
Bachelors Degree in Biology, medical technology or related field and 1-2 years experience required.
