**This position is located in WEST BEND, WI at St. Josephs Hospital, a member of Froedtert & Community Health.**
The HIM department provides health information management services including transcription, coding and release of information to St. Joseph's Hospital. St. Joseph's Hospital is pursuing the use of the Epic platform in providing health information services to the hospital and communicating clinical information to other members of the Froedtert & Community Health system.
Under the direction of the Director of Health Information Management and Business Office Services assists with the overall management and daily operations of Health Information Management and Business Office. Ensure compliance with JCAHO, state, federal, and contractual regulations. Provide departmental guidance, training, support, and solutions to the HIM and Business Office staff. Assist in the on-going evaluation of policies and procedures, and assist in the development and implementation of new efficiencies. Oversees productivity reporting, reconciliation, analyzing processes and information based on quality and safety standards. Communicates effectively with physicians, hospital staff, providers, and patients to ensure patient safety, customer satisfaction, and an efficient business process.
Bachelors degree and 1-3 years previous management experience required. Our ideal candidate will have a college degree and be a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) with experience in management or as a Record Custodian. Superior knowledge of Medicare regulations, HIPAA, regulatory compliance standards, billing third party payers, and process improvement. Above average accounting, computer skills and strong analytical skills expected.
