Program Structure
Program Structure
Once hired into a unit, you’ll complete your Student Nurse orientation hours during your final semester.
Shifts are 8-12 hours, usually once per week but there is flexibility.
After graduation, you can remain in your extern position until you pass the NCLEX to transition into a RN position.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Complete an online application for Froedtert nurse extern.
